HIP HOP...   JAZZ...   GOSPEL...    R&B...    POP...

IT'S ALL MUSIC!

The Music Division is headed by Wayne Winston, lead rapper and D..J. for recording group Much Finesse.  Known to the hip hop community as D.J. Ace, he works as executive producer and manager of other recording artists and performers in N.S.P.

Among several of his projects, he and Much Finesse have recorded under A.R.A.S. Entertainment from 1991-1995.  Among the group's works are "Corner of the City" in 1990, "Phreeky Deeky", a collaboration with the Power Posse in 1992, and "You Can't Get Wit' This"/"Non-Stop Groove", both released in 1995 from the Much Finesse album, "All Hyped Up".

Besides over 20 years in the hip-hop arena, Mr. Winston spends time working in other genres including Jazz, Gospel, Pop, and R&B. Individuals interested in recording or performing works through NSP management on studio work at low costs. NSP develops groups as well as provides information about the business that an artist may not be aware of.

Among many of the past artists in NSP, NSP celebrates the on-going success of its youth jazz band, "Friends and Strangers". Since beginning in 1996, the band has performed throughout the New York City area in jazz festivals, cultural events, and special NSP concerts. Their involvement in the Annual Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival has been a successful highlight since 2000. This band performs an average of 20 show per year, and continues to do so.

Mr. Winston's musical talents spans beyond the production of sound. Behind the scenes, he has also worked as co-producer for cable-tv program, "Positive Groove" in 1990, and works with other producers and companies to cast for music videos or provide artists for showcasing.

LET'S DANCE!

Through the Music Division comes our Dance Department
.  Here, our members are given the opportunity to perform on stage through various forms of dance.

NSP's instructors offer their time to teach 90-minute classes which includes dance fundamentals, exercise and technique.  NSP will offer a variety of activities through ballet, hip-hop, jazz,  modern, and African dance.  Sessions may include instruction from guest presenters or senior members offering their input based on their previous dance training.

Among many of the past activities, NSP has provides dancers to participate in music videos, stage presentations, or have promoted individuals in concerts at specific events.  In addition, dancers may work alongside with other NSP artists to create stage performances, and touring events.   Dancers have worked though NSP's Much Finesse, as well as developed into additional small groups for promotions.  Currently, NSP manages Organized C.H.A.O.S., an all-male step team that has made appearances on Good Morning America, and in several local competitions and events. The most recent group currently in development are the  "
Hot Steppers",  a 20-piece dance/step team that will tour alongside the "Non-Stoppers" Double-Dutch teams anf Jazz Band in the coming season.

YOUTH LEADERS IN ACTION!

In June, 1991, youth leader, Kymo Barnes, 15 was accidentally shot and killed on a Brooklyn street.  Following this and several unfortunate incidents concerning our children, the N.S.P. Youth Council was created, with it's primary goal, to allow youth to  interact within other communities, with youth leaders, community activists, and professional artists.

During it's first year, members were chosen, each representing different Brooklyn communities.  Bi-monthly meetings were held for the council members to discuss situations in each of their respective neighborhood areas.  The youth were given the opportunity to plan programs,  youth conferences, and propose ideas which they felt was beneficial towards the community.

Today, the Youth Council is now mandated for all of NSP members.  Our youth meet each week to discuss a variety of community issues, and share ideas under the leadership of NSP's Youth Directors.  Ongoing and long term projects includes our annual toy drive, summer camp, and continuous opportunities for our youth to advance in their education, community, and social development.
