OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF NSP!

On November 1, 2008, NSP was place on hiatus after 25 years of work in the community. Due to an unstable board of directors, and a decline in parental support and involvement, as the CEO, I felt it was in the best interest for NSP to discontinue its weekly activities. Some members were willing to assist with specific events that NSP must remain committed to, however, for the company to operate successfully, we must have commitment from all parties, including the board, parents, staff, members, as well as supporting organizations that wish to work with us.
Currently, NSP is seeking a new rehearsals location for its 30 active members. NSP also has an additional 15 youth on standby for membership, and is also in need of volunteers to assist as instructors in modeling, dance, and acting departments. In addition to rehearsal space, NSP will be restructuring it's Board of Directors. Approximately five individuals are needed to complete the board, and will be open for volunteers who wish to assist in the leadership, and activity planning of the company.
With no support, there is no progress. NSP wish to continue its work in the community, but need all who are involved to be on one accord. Our sabbatical was to last six months, however, we have been inactive for 18 months with an expected return by summer. Between now and July 1, 2010, a series of meetings with members, and parents will take place to determine the status of NSP. During the summer, we will reorganize the membership, and prepare a new statement as to whether or not NSP will return to full active duties by Fall 2010. We pray that our decisions will have a POSITIVE and LASTING impact on our youth. We want the best for all our members, however, it still takes a village to raise one child. We seek your ideas, your support, your prayers, and thank you your understanding.
